Sock Monkisa

not what i had set out to do, but distracted (inspired?) by the Mona Lisa print in my studio ...

apparently the venerable Sock Monkey has made at least tentative inroads into my regular rotation of characters

Swimming Pool Duck

description from the original 16x20'' ( P.A.D project ) version of 2005.03.29 :
''we saw a small bird take a dip in the pool over Spring Break and were amazed that it could so easily hop out... and that made me wonder; if kids wear rubber inflatable ducky life preservers, what do baby birds wear when they go in the water? rubber inflatable hominid life preservers?''

Borat Sagdiyev

''please to watch full-length feature movie, ''Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan'' which will to be open next month in US''

my alter-ego Borat ... frankly i'm getting a little tired of my friends sending me photos of this funny man, and making comments about this, my ''secret second-source of income''

here is an idea that has long pestered me ... too much to say about it, but i'll hint at the nature of a society enamored with violence and bloodshed

Unicorn Tea Party shrine / assemblage

just how many years has that flucking therapist had a shot at doing whatever it is he's getting paid to do ?

this time around my oil painting ( of unicorns, a rainbow, happy sun, hearts, and, of course, a tea setting on a table ) has become the central backdrop for a ''High Tea'' catered by Hello Kitty herself - the unicorns i'd drawn as a study before doing the painting were completed and mounted inside the display ( box ? stage ? ) and beads were added to class-up this gem of any little girl's fantasy

why i hate XMAS

just an impromptu painting ( yet another self portrait ) after camping out at Starbucks and reading for a few hours. a woman came into Starbucks with a violin and played XMAS / holiday songs for us

private message : what the fluck are you waiting for ? i'm the last one left, and it's Christmastime again ... come and get me - i've been looking forward to putting my hand into yours since childhood, and you've ducked taking me so many times ...

Camel shrine

a shrine to honor the many Camel cigarettes, from our friends at the R. J. Reynolds Tobacco company, which filled so many lungs producing the rogue protein gene B-RaF, which signal MEK and is believed to cause cancer ...

just remembered that I'd done something about B-RaF before : an altered pack of smokes adorned with paint and framed in a heavy gold rococo frame, which can be found [HERE] in Gallery 7

the wooden case is 7x9''
